Implemented a new Postcode database lookup in Order Desk (Despatch Address) and Customer File Maintenance

This searches an online database with the entered postcode and returns a list of matches, the user then can choose the desired address and this is returned into Madics.

This is currently enabled in Customer File Maintenance and Sales Order Desk.


There is an one off Madics fee of £495 for implementation and setup,  You will also need your own Ideal-Postcode account - This start about 2.5p a post code lookup on a pay as you go basis.

Pressing [home] in Customer File Maintenance on the Name field will launch the postcode search dialog, here you can enter a postcode and it will search an online postcode database returning all the matches.



If an address is selected a 2nd dialog will displaying the full address of the selected search result along with the Madics address fields formatted in the best way it can. The user can freely modify the address before accepting it, this then populates the Madics address in question.


In Sales Order Desk pressing [home] at the Delivery Address will launch the online postcode search dialog.
